What do you believe?

I think it would be one of two reasons that alien life would come to Earth, either purpose or necessity. I know its a very broad statement but its very hard to speculate with very little if anything to base it off.

We base alien life much like human life to a point...because we have little to go by, or alot depends on which belief style/system to which you work if any.
we have people that love sport
we have people that love travel.....there is notting different to the fact we all look for freedom/freewill.
why believe ET is so different!?

Its not a case of saying intelligent alien life wouldn't have any of the things you said. Its more a case that we as humans can only come up with suggestionss on what intelligent alien life would be like by either basing it around what we know about humans or other living creatives and the last thing is the creativity of the mind.

Lets say that only the intelligent 'higher race' aliens are visiting us.

Compare them to 'scientists', what do human scientists do?
 
Remove Flora and Fauna from their habitats and stick them in a glass bowl cut in two.
Remove biological samples from them alive and leave them traumatised in the wild.
Trap live species for Zoo's and Museums.
Check their pain threshold, their response to various diseases etc.

Why should we assume that the ET's aren't doing that to humans?

Can animals stop humans from doing this? Nope...
Can humans stop ET's from doing this to us? Not really...

Should humans stop terrorising animals? Yes...
Will we...? hopefully!

So if we wont change, then why should ET's?

Thats the point I was trying to make GrahamR, well put. Its very possible that anything humans do to animals can be done by an intelligent alien species to the human species.

Its even worse to consider what some humans are doing to other humans!

We cant even get on with our own kind!

Just think though, we know what goes on with animals for product testing or drug trials and we know its wrong but don't do enough to stop it or idea of what some people do to other people. We know it happens and that its wrong so image what another intelligent species thinks of us. Kinda makes us as much to blame to a certain extent.

Sure does! but at the end of the day all we can do is lead by example!

Please...scientist's, i don't know about any of you guys but i won't describe a scientist as an example of a human being...that can be on the level as an intelligent alien being!! If they were why have cancer and the like's that we can't control? Again i say please...

I reckon something is out there but I dont believe it green with slits for eyes, whatever it is it will look different due to having to adapt to a different environment. I do think that governments are covering something up for years but what??? Area 51 baffles me, are they covering up something or just merely testing new planes equipment etc for the military.
