Osama bin Laden Captured/Dead?

I'm pretty sure the world has heard this story by now, every news agency is reporting the same and I'm sure its already underway with regards the rumors and conspiracies.

If heres dead, grand but why bury him at see before the claims can be verified!?
Burying him at sea would just seem to be an easy way out to explain how they will never catch him or actually never catch someone that never existed in the first place!?

Next thing is, if the US forces where going after him, surely this target is much more valuable alive, his wealth of knowledge regarding many terrorist groups and his ties with other groups could possibly bring global terrorism to its knees or even majorily stem it!?

Also if the US special forces were given the order to capture him alive they should have easily been able to due to knowing where his is and also being trained to extract high value targets and hostages from some of the worlds most dangerous or highly protected locations.

Latest from Sky News is he was given an Islamic funeral which is why he was buried at sea, the only thing that doesn't fit here is, why would the US given Bin Laden this final ceremony when hundreds of other 'terrorists' where locked up without a trial or anything, their rights weren't looked at!?

I'll keep an eye on the 'media' and the alternative news of the next few days and see what they come out with.

Last thing, does anyone know of anything else that happened today around the world that this Bin Laden story could have been used to divert attention!? Just a thought.
