"Paranthropology: Journal of Anthropological Approaches to the Paranormal" is a free on-line journal devoted to the promotion of social-scientific approaches to the study of paranormal experiences, beliefs and phenomena in all of their varied guises. The journal aims to promote an interdisciplinary dialogue on issues of the paranormal, so as to move beyond the sceptic vs. advocate impasse which has settled over the current debate, and to open new avenues for enquiry and understanding.

Some very interesting articles in there, well worth a look at!

There are some good articles in those journals and I am always looking for new reading material. I am glad to see that some people are willing to study this side of anthropology because it is important that all parts of the human experience be investigated. People are usually steered away from studying anything controversial and as a result they keep recycling the same knowledge, with little or no progress.

When it comes to seances, I would keep as far away from them as possible, because nobody knows what kind of forces they are dealing with. There is a great documentary called magical Egypt by John West which I have watched lately. It explains the way the Egyptians used to think and those people were far more advanced than they have been given credit for.
