Ufo, Missile or something else, Russian Meteorite?

This story has been making the rounds the past couple of weeks. Sky News Australia has reported on it.

Referring to video footage of the event, Alexander Komanov, coordinator for the Russian UFO community in Yekaterinburg, told the Siberian Times, 'You can see how an (unidentified flying) object catches the meteorite... the (UFO) flies into it - and the meteorite explodes and falls.

..if it was a missile you'd think the russian military would own up to firing it,i mean if they spotted it and fired at it,whats the harm,unless the missed of course.

I was trying to find other recordings showing the meteorite to confirm that an object actually did hit it and I came up with these...

Really nice find BNM, it explains the sudden blink-out of the object after it passed through the meteor. I guess we can call this lens flare on a glorious scale!

checkmate i don't know what's going on when i post a YouTube link. I check to make sure it works when i post the thread which it does so i have no idea why you're having trouble viewing it with the link i provide.

Anyway that is the video that you added which i think explains the event well. It's clear to me at least if was just an asteroid and nothing more.

Anyhow yep just a plain old meteorite, but a great sight to see
